Tales of a Two Year Old

Max loves his cousin Allie. He told me the other day that he was so excited to see Allie because "she's my best friend!" It was the sweetest thing ever.

Mommy and Me Monday

My sweet little boy loves to sit on his mommy's lap. I intend to take advantage of every minute he'll let me snuggle up with him. Here we are this past Saturday celebrating Father's Day(a little late) and my mom's birthday.

I can honestly say this is one of my favorite ages so far! Emma is such a great kid and I don't just think that because I'm her mommy. She is so compassionate, loving, and intelligent. I love that she never gives up and is strong-willed. She is a loving sister to Max and a terrific daughter. She is so smart that it often amazes me. Remember that strong-willed part I mentioned earlier... Well when she wants to learn something she won't give up until she's mastered it. Let's take learning to tie her shoes-she was so determined to learn this that her older cousin taught her in about five minutes and she hasn't ever looked back. In fact, she went to school the next day and tied all of her Pre-K friend's shoes. That's my Emma, always helpful too!

I started a post about the adventures with my two year old but saved it to draft and now cannot get back into it to write...ugh..so I'm going to add some things here and post this a couple of days late..oops!

Max is all B-O-Y... all the time! I love that he is so energetic and always has a smile on his face. He is rough and tumble and lovable all rolled into one! He loves sports and is really into playing golf on the Wii and watching Toy Story right now. He also loves to do somersaults(he calls them flips) to try to keep up with his big sister and her new love for gymnastics. He loves to sing songs--his favorites right now-ABC's, Twinkle, Twinkle, Jesus Loves Me, Where the Boat Leaves From,(Zac Brown Band-thanks to Daddy) and ALL the songs on the Laurie Berkner Band cd Under a Shady Tree. He is constantly showing off his dance moves and always takes a bow when his song is over. I am loving the fact that I get to spend every moment during this summer with this little guy!

Well here I am...I have wanted to get on this blog long before now but I'm finally out of school for summer break and have a little free time during the kid's naptime. Whoo hoo! I think this is what I'm going to aim for in my blog-
